Lottery Checker.
Lottery Checker is about checking for winning lines from a previously
entered set of numbers representing your weekly Lottery Flutter. It
is mainly for syndicate use where many lines need to be checked.
(Upto 36 lines are supported). It is NOT for making predictions. If
you require more lines simply edit the source code supplied.
FIRST TASK .......... Copy the Phil_Ord Drawer to a freshly formatted
disk, henceforth to be called the Program Disk. Do not attempt to RUN
Lottery Checker from the CD.
When first running the program, two sequential files are created on
the program disk, containing, (from your input), the number of lines
you wish to check, and the numbers within those lines. Therefore It
is important to leave the program disk Write Enabled. If you use the
same numbers every week, you need only input your selections once.
They will be saved to disk and will be available for checking when
needed. The files saved to disk are called 'Lot' and 'Lotty'. If these
files are not present on the disk, you will be asked to input the
neccessary numbers. If you move 'Lottery' out of the Phil_Ord Drawer,
then you MUST also move 'Lot' and 'Lotty' with it. Keep these files
together always.
I categorize Lottery Checker as "I Don"t Care Ware" so, do what you
like with it. Make as many copies as you wish. Use seperate copies
for Saturday and Wednesday. Use it on a Tuesday if you like. Give it
to your friends, I do not care. I have put the source code into the
Source Drawer so you can LOAD it into an Amos Package and change it
to your hearts content. More lines needed?. Easy, just alter the code
and compile it to your original Program Disk. I have included a few
Rems in the code to help you understand what's going on. If you do
edit it for more lines, don't forget to add extra speech parameters
to those already provided. There-after, just enjoy the program and be
lucky, I do care about that. The program was actually written in Amos
Professional but I think you can edit it in any other Amos package.
IMPORTANT: Lottery Checker will run from anywhere except the CD but
the file Narrator.Device MUST be in the Devs drawer of your startup
disk and Translator.Library MUST be in the Libs drawer of the same
disk. (These two files are not supplied). I am sure a lot of people
already own them anyway. If not perhaps they can be put on the CD for
you. Why not use AFCDfind to trace them?.
To RUN this program simply Boot from your normal start-up disk, place
Lottery Checker in any drive, open it, and double click on the Lottery
Icon which lives in the Phil_Ord Drawer. If you only have one drive,
some disk-swapping may be neccessary. Once you are up and running,
turn up your volume a little and follow the on screen instructions.
And finally, I have used this program for about a year and I haven't
had any problems with it. It has checked 36 lines every week for me
and has never missed a winning line, nor has it mistakenly suggested
a winning line when there was not one present. However, until you gain
complete confidence in it, I suggest that you double check your lines
in your normal way.
The very best of luck,
Phil Ord.
